About Me

Megan is a native Oregonian who has been at Parkwood since 2022. Prior to her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist, she has garnered extensive experience as a preschool teacher as well as an Educational Assistant at a Title I school, where she supported students in both extended resources and contained behavior rooms. Prior to Parkwood, Megan served as a Speech-Language Pathologist within school settings, further enhancing her expertise in educational support and speech and language services.

Since graduation, Megan has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional development. She actively pursues opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills to better serve her clients and future populations.

Megan's approach is centered on creating a comfortable and safe environment for her clients, ensuring they receive well-rounded education and support. She is dedicated to developing individualized plans of care that incorporate versatile, evidence-based practices tailored to meet the unique needs of each client throughout their sessions.In her free time, Megan enjoys reading, cultivating and propagating indoor plants, playing video games, and hiking.

Specialties

Megan has specialty training in Motor Speech disorders. She has notable experience in fluency disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and voice disorders.
